HIGHLIGHTS

Greg Sewart began his racing career back in 1974 like many other legends’ by helping in the pits. In his case, he helped his older brother Jim. In 1976 he purchased his first stock car. He competed until the end of 2002.

Some of Greg’s highlights were:

1976 Sportsman Champ & Rookie of the Year -Atlantic Speedway

1977 Sportsman Champ – Atlantic Speedway

1980 Modified Champ – Atlantic Speedway

1982 Late Model Champion – Onslow Speedway

1983, ’84, ’87 Twin 100 International winner, River Glade Speedway

1989 Halifax 300 winner – Scotia Speedworld

1994 Second in Oxford 250 , Maine

1986, 1993 Riverside 250 winner.

1991, 1992, 1994 Moosehead Grand Prix winner – Halifax streets

1983,’87,’92,’93 and ’95 MASCAR champion. The only five-time MASCAR point champion.

2012, April 21 Greg was inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame.
