Inductees Announced for Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Inc.!
Elgin, NB (October 1, 2007) - The names of the ten inductees into the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame have been announced.  The inductees were chosen by a special committee based on the nominations received and will be inducted into the Hall at a Formal event on November 17, 2007.

Our 2nd Annual Petty Autofest was held on June 9th!

Above is the 3rd place "Fan Favorite" 1973 Dodge Charger owned by Roger Lounsbury of the Glades.
The gorgeous sunny day brought out 41 entries to the 2nd Annual event.  The variety of entries was varied (check out pictures) In addition to the vehicles on display, spectators enjoyed a silent auction, Indoor/Outdoor flea market and BBQ put on for the "Relay for Life".

Ballots were placed for favorite entries.  Congratulations to 1st, 2nd and 3rd with the most votes - 3rd place went to the 1973 Dodge Charger (above) 2nd place went to Mike & Louise Kilbride of Moncton for their 1967 Chevy Van.
1st place went to Jim D'Arcy of Saint John for his 1938 Chev Coupe.

MMHF 1st Annual Induction Gala A Great Success!
(November 21, 2006) - The very 1st Annual Induction Gala was held on Saturday (November 18, 2006) at The Right Choice Catering in Moncton, NB.  The evening was kicked-off with a silent auction and roast beef dinner, followed by Special Guest Speaker, Ron Fellows, (via video tape) and then, a Video Presentation for the Inductees.

MMHOF Annual Meeting Held October 20 (October 21, 2006) - The annual meeting for the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame was held Friday October 20 in Amherst, Nova Scotia. The 2006/2007 board members as well as committee chairs were elected. To view the results, click here.

Additionally, the MMHF is pleased to announce the availability of a NEW Lifetime Membership for just $300.

Inaugural Inductees Announced for Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame ELGIN, NB (October 18, 2006) - The names of the 10 inaugural inductees to the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHF) have been announced. The inductees were chosen by a committee that based their decision on nominations received. The inductions will take place November 18 in Moncton.

The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame inaugural induction ceremony will take place in Moncton at The Right Choice Catering on Saturday, November 18. Ticket availability is limited and include a reception, dinner and the awards ceremony; they are $75 each. The reception starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 and the induction ceremony at 7:30. For more information please call 1-866-355-8206.

Inaugural Autofest June 10

Many, many thanks to all those who contributed to the inaugural Autofest. There were 29 show entrees, great music and lots of spectators.

May 24, 2006 - The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame, in partnership with the Artistic Sphere Group, will host the inaugural Petty Autofest at Petitcodiac Arena on Saturday, June 10.

The show opens to the public at Noon and will include an art exhibition by local artists. Between 2 and 5, attendees and participants can tap their toes to the music of Ken Campbell and the Country Road Band. The event will also see a silent auction and door prizes.

Participants can register in advance by calling 506-756-8982. Set-up starts at 9 a.m.

Admission is a cash donation at the door. This event is a fundraiser for the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame.


MMHOF Gets Funding From NB Government

ELGIN, NB (2006 April 27) - Things are happening fast and furious for the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame - and about to start happening faster...They recently received a cheque for $5,000 from the Regional Development Corporation to pay for funding to hire a consultant to prepare start-up documents. Inaugural Nominations Being Accepted

December 13, 2005 - The wheels are in motion to select the inaugural inductees to the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHOF). The organization's Nomination Committee has released the Nomination Form for 2006 considerations as inaugural members to the hallowed hall.
