HIGHLIGHTS

Albert was very much involved in the snowmobile racing circuit. He along with others from the area were instrumental in starting snowmobile drag racing on a 750ft. track on PEI. 1985 he won the Maritime Snowmobile Drag Racing Championship held at Erb’s Cove NB with the fastest machine in the Maritime Provinces, a 3 cylinder liquid cooled 650 Artic Cat.

Albert raced at many locations throughout PEI, NB, and NS. He is still involved in sanctioned races in the local area.

Albert began racing stock cars in the early 1960’s with a ’56 Ford in the Hobby Division (6 cyl) at a track in Charlottetown. 1967 started racing at Freetown. At many events he garnered many triple wins. 1975 at Freetown he won the Island Championship. 1989 in the “Old Timers Race” at Raceway Park, driving his Mini Stock he took first place, beating out Street Stock and the Modified divisions.

Albert is still helping his grandson with his drag car.
