Management for the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame regretfully announce the 2021 Induction Ceremony has been postponed until 2022. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution for attendees and staff as COVID-19 cases continue to increase in New Brunswick.

Organizers are now planning a “doubleheader” weekend next November when the Class of 2021 will be enshrined in the hallowed hall on Friday, November 18 and the Class of 2022 on Saturday, November 19. The Class of 2021 was announced earlier this year and includes:

From New Brunswick

  • Hinson Ashe (Moncton) – Competitor,  Stock Car
  • Raymond ‘Ray’ Bastille (Moncton) – Competitor, Sports Car
  • Robert ‘Bob’ Guthrie (Fredericton) – Competitor/Builder, Sports Car

From Nova Scotia

  • Dwight Giddens (Bible Hill) – Builder
  • Glen Walker (Lower Sackville) – Competitor, Drag Racing

  • Kris Fournier (Charlottetown) – Competitor/Builder, Stock Car

The Class of 2022 will be determined based on nominations received before April 1, 2022. Nominations can be made by anyone and can be for anyone they feel has contributed greatly to any genre of motorsports in the Maritimes. More information on the nomination process and the online nomination form is available here.

Both ceremonies will be held at the Rodd Royalty in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Management regrets any inconvenience the postponement of this year’s celebration may cause but are confident it is the right decision for all involved.
